ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING OUR MLK YOUTH CHOIR?
The MLK Youth Community Choir is seeking students in grades K-12 to join the choir and make a joyful noise!
Participants will rehearse for a special performance at the Prince William Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta (PWCAC- DST) 40th Annual Dr. King Youth Oratorical Competition and Program.
The program will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11 a.m to 1:30 p.m at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 18410 Chapel Street, Triangle, VA 22172. The theme for this year is "Fulfilling the Promise of Democracy: My Voice, My Choice, My Future”.
The first choir rehearsal is November 30. Students in grades K-12 are welcome to attend. No tryout is necessary. Those in the community interested in registering, or need more details can email pwc.mlkcommunitychoir@gmail.com. Attendance at all rehearsals is encouraged, but not mandatory.
A community service certificate will be issued.

Calling all Young Writers!
The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta (PWCAC-DST) is excited to reinstitute the writing contest portion of our Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration activities.
The contest information and writing prompt can be shared with 4th and 5th grade students in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park public schools. The deadline to provide the essays is November 22 and the entry specifics are provided on the rules flyer.
There will be awards and recognition at the 40th Annual MLK Youth Oratorical Competition and Program on Saturday, January 18, which is free and open to the public.
