About the event
Join PWCAC DST for our 17th Annual Red Carpet Showcase for Emerging Artists, Authors & Musicians!
The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. invites you to join us for our 17th Annual Red Carpet Showcase on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. at Neabsco Baptist Church, located at 15545 Cardinal Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22193.
This is a free, public event we host to encourage literacy and exposure to the arts, while providing an opportunity for emerging artists, authors and musicians to showcase their talents to the community.
This year’s program will feature five participants—two from Prince William County, one from Manassas and two from the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan region.
Ashleigh Banks is a Woodbridge-based vocalist, who you may have heard perform in the Creative and Performing Arts Center’s Christmas production of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity.
Tanya Hellams is an Air Force veteran and retired US Navy chief petty officer, whose book, One Step at a Time - A Motivational Conversation, is an inspirational work that offers readers encouragement and a path forward while navigating life’s challenges.
Jonathan Leiger is a self-taught artist who uses acrylic paint and other media to explore different artistic styles. Using his unique perspective as a psychiatry resident, he immerses himself in each piece to discover a new perspective and explore the emotions that can’t be put into words.
Queenie Love is a Woodbridge resident and author of The Path to Here, a memoir about loss, love, liberation, a mother’s search for the daughter she placed up for adoption and the long road to healing that followed.
Nijiama Smalls resides in Manassas. She is the author of several books about discovering purpose and healing emotional wounds. Her books offer principles to help readers live lives filled with success, love, meaning, direction and deep self-trust.
The program will also include youth sharing their talents.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to talk with the participants, purchase artwork and books, and enjoy delicious refreshments.
Expect an afternoon of artistic fun while supporting local talent, and perhaps indulging in a bit of holiday shopping!
